Abstract

The digital transformation implemented by Pegadaian Syariah through the Tring application aims to enhance service efficiency and provide greater convenience for customers. However, the integration of digital services raises concerns regarding the implementation of sharia compliance, particularly in the fund disbursement feature, which only provides one Islamic bank option, namely Bank Muamalat, while offering a wider range of conventional bank options. This study aims to analyze the consistency of sharia compliance within Pegadaian Syariah’s digital integration system from the perspective of Islamic economic law. The research employs a normative legal method using statutory and conceptual approaches. Data were collected through library research, including legislation, DSN-MUI fatwas, and scholarly literature on Islamic economic law. The findings indicate that the inconsistency in sharia compliance does not lie in the validity of the rahn contract itself, but rather in the system integration policy that has not fully optimized the Islamic banking ecosystem. The limited availability of Islamic bank options may affect the fulfillment of the principles of trust (amanah), justice (al-'adl), mutual consent (an-taradhin), and consumers’ spiritual rights. Therefore, broader integration with Islamic banks is necessary to achieve more comprehensive sharia compliance in Pegadaian Syariah’s digital services
