Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of pop-up book media in optimizing academic achievement for 5th-grade students at SDN 2 Limboto in human digestive system materials. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design implemented across two cycles and four meetings at State Elementary School 2 Limboto, Limboto District, Gorontalo Regency. Data collection techniques encompassed systematic observation, competency evaluation, and documentation. The research population involved 26 students, comprising 7 males and 19 females. Investigative findings revealed significant progressivity in student learning outcomes: pre-intervention stage reached 30%, the first cycle increased to 65%, and the second cycle achieved 85% with an average score above 80.3%. The research conclusion affirms that pop-up book media proved effective in enhancing conceptual understanding and learning outcomes for human digestive system materials among 5th-grade students at SDN 2 Limboto.
