PENERAPAN METODE REALISTIC MATHEMATIC EDUCATION UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI BILANGAN CACAH

This study aims to enhance student learning outcomes on the topic of whole numbers through the application of the Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) approach. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles with the participation of 16 students. The research was carried out in the fourth-grade class at SDN 7 Limboto. Data collection was done through observations, tests, and documentation. The results indicate that the RME approach successfully improved student learning outcomes. Prior to the intervention, only 20% of students met the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). This figure increased to 56.2% in the first cycle and reached 87.5% in the second cycle. By connecting mathematical concepts to real-life situations, the RME approach made the learning process more relevant and fostered active student participation. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the RME approach is effective in enhancing student comprehension and learning outcomes in the topic of whole numbers.
