THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PEER TUTORING STRATEGY TO IMPROVE THE LEARNING OUTCOMES OF FIFTH-GRADE STUDENTS ON SIMPLE MACHINES MATERIAL AT SDN 7 LIMBOTO

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students on the topic of simple machines through the implementation of a peer tutoring strategy at SDN 7 Limboto. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach conducted in three cycles, involving 19 students. Data were collected through observation, learning outcome tests, and documentation, and were then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and verification techniques. The results indicated that the implementation of the peer tutoring strategy significantly enhanced students' learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle stage, only 38.5% of students achieved the Minimum Competency Criteria (MCC). This figure increased to 53.8% in the first cycle and 84.6% in the second cycle. The peer tutoring strategy fostered an active and collaborative learning environment where students supported each other in understanding the material. The study concludes that the peer tutoring strategy is effective in improving students' learning outcomes, while also encouraging positive interactions and boosting students' confidence.
