Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning dalam Pembelajaran IPS untuk Meningkatkan Keaktifan dan Hasil Belajar Siswa Sekolah Dasar (Kajian Literatur)

This study was motivated by the low level of student participation in the learning process and the suboptimal learning outcomes in Social Studies subjects. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the implementation of the discovery learning model can improve students’ active participation and learning outcomes, particularly in Social Studies material. This study employed a qualitative method, with data collected through teacher interviews and literature review. The findings indicate that the implementation of the discovery learning model can enhance students’ participation in the learning process as well as their learning outcomes. This improvement is reflected in students’ increased willingness to ask questions, express opinions, and explore new information. Furthermore, students’ understanding of Social Studies material improved because the learning process encouraged active and courageous engagement. Therefore, the implementation of the discovery learning model can be considered an effective alternative learning model for improving elementary school students’ learning outcomes in Social Studies subjects.
