Abstract

This study aims to explore the integration of science and religion in the development of Islamic education curricula through a contextual approach. The research method employed is a literature review, analyzing relevant sources related to the integration of science and religion and the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach. The findings reveal that this approach enhances students' understanding of the relationship between scientific knowledge and religious teachings through context-based learning. It not only helps students connect theory to practice but also strengthens their spiritual foundation. Despite challenges such as limited resources and teacher preparedness, significant opportunities remain through technology and supportive policies. This study recommends developing integrated curricula for primary and secondary education levels and  providing teacher training to implement meaningful, relevant, and applicable learning. Such a curriculum is expected to shape a generation with academic and spiritual excellence, prepared to face global challenges while adhering to Islamic principles
