STRATEGI OPTIMALISASI SUMBER DAYA DALAM MANAJEMEN BERBASIS SEKOLAH UNTUK PENDIDIKAN DASAR

In adapting to changing times, the world of education requires the implementation of modern and professional school management. Schools need to be given the freedom to make policies in setting resource management strategies. School-based management is the best solution for stakeholders in schools to manage their resources. The challenges that occur in the field, the principal as part of human resources, has not optimally developed his managerial skills, so that inconsistent and non-open leadership styles lead to inappropriate decision making. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze strategies for optimizing resource management in the school environment through a school-based management approach, as well as to examine the role of principal leadership in supporting the improvement of the quality of basic education. This study uses a qualitative literature study approach with data sources derived from academic literature such as educational management books, scientific journals on school-based management, and articles related to transformational leadership styles in the context of education. Through this study, it was found that the strategy of optimizing resources through the application of school-based management is very appropriate for managing human resources, non-human resources, financial resources, and physical resources. The application of a transformational leadership style is a strategy that needs to be internalized by the principal to create an effective and collaborative school culture.
