increasing divorce rates caused by drug abuse in Gorontalo City present a significant social issue, impacting families and communities. This study explores the strategies employed by court mediators at the Gorontalo Religious Court to reduce divorce rates attributed to drug abuse. Through a qualitative approach and case study methodology, the research examines the effectiveness of mediation in addressing conflicts arising from substance abuse. Findings indicate that successful mediation strategies include empathetic communication, drug impact education, collaboration with rehabilitation institutions, and family involvement. Factors such as mediator competence, family support, and access to professional services significantly influence the success of these mediation efforts. The study aims to provide practical recommendations for enhancing mediation practices to better address and mitigate divorce cases linked to drug abuse.
