The method used is normative juridical. The result is that children born from unregistered interfaith marriages can get legal protection from their biological father in the form of a living, including living expenses, education, and health of the child. Referring to the Constitutional Court Decision Letter Number/46/PUU-VIII/2010 concerning the status of illegitimate children. This study explores the strategies employed by court mediators at the Gorontalo Religious Court to reduce divorce rates attributed to drug abuse. Through a qualitative approach and case study methodology, the research examines the effectiveness of mediation in addressing conflicts arising from substance abuse. Findings indicate that successful mediation strategies include empathetic communication, drug impact education, collaboration with rehabilitation institutions, and family involvement. Factors such as mediator competence, family support, and access to professional services significantly influence the success of these mediation efforts.
