INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION METHODS OF QUR'AN TEACHERS IN INCREASING LEARNING INTEREST AT AT-TAUBAH TPQ, TAMBOO VILLAGE, TILONGKABILA DISTRICT

This study aims to analyze the interpersonal communication methods used by Qur'an teachers to increase students' (santri) learning interest at At-Taubah TPQ, Tamboo Village, Tilongkabila District. The primary focus of this research centers on: (1) the types of interpersonal communication methods implemented, and (2) the impact of such communication on students' interest in learning. This study employed a qualitative method with an interpersonal communication approach. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation. The informants consisted of Qur'an teachers, TPQ administrators, and students' parents. The results indicate that the Qur'an teachers implement persuasive interpersonal communication methods, ethical dyadic communication, as well as interactive and varied approaches such as games and humor. Consequently, students demonstrated an increase in psychological comfort, learning interest, discipline, and resilience when encountering learning challenges. Humanistic and sustainable interpersonal communication, including collaboration with parents, proved effective in creating a positive learning environment and enhancing students' motivation.
