DAMPAK COVID-19 TERHADAP PEREKONOMIAN USAHA MIKRO KECIL DAN MENENGAH DI KABUPATEN GORONTALO

Abstract

The crisis in Indonesia has provided an important lesson for the Indonesian
economy. The corporate sector, which was originally the prima donna of the
economy, was unable to survive properly when the economic crisis that led to the
multidimensional crisis hit Indonesia. Even Micro, Small, and Medium
Enterprises (MSMEs) which at that time were considered to have played a less
role in the economy were able to survive well. The method used is descriptive
qualitative with literature review data collection techniques. The results of this
study show that the community and MSME actors in the regions, especially in
Gorontalo Regency, have not developed their businesses widely. There are still
many MSME players closing themselves to develop, resigning themselves to the
situation during the pandemic, lacking innovation. They also only sell their
products to consumers who are around their market area. Because they have
limited abilities and experience problems in developing their business.

Krisis yang terjadi di Indonesia telah memberikan suatu pelajaran
penting bagi perekonomian Indonesia. Sektor korporasi yang semula
menjadi primadona perekonomian ternyata tidak mampu bertahan
dengan baik ketika krisis ekonomi yang mengarah pada krisis
multidimensi tersebut melanda Indonesia. Malah Usaha Mikro, Kecil,
dan Menengah (UMKM) yang saat itu dinilai kurang berperan dalam
perekonomian mampu bertahan dengan baik. Metode yang
digunakan yaitu kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data
tinjauan pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Masyarakat
dan pelaku UMKM yang ada di daerah, khususnya di Kabupaten
Gorontalo belum mengembangkan usahanya secara luas. Masih
banyak pelaku UMKM menutup diri untuk berkembang, pasrah
dengan keadaan di masa pandemi, kurang berinovasi. Mereka juga
hanya menjual produknya kepada konsumen yang ada di sekitar
wilayah pasarnya. Karena mereka memiliki kemampuan yang terbatas
serta mengalami permasalahan dalam pengembangan usahanya.
