KEGAGALAN INKLUSI PENDIDIKAN: Tinjauan atas Tingginya Angka Putus Sekolah Pemuda di Kawasan Perkebunan Batu Kramat, Gorontalo

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis faktor-faktor penyebab tingginya angka putus sekolah di kalangan pemuda di Desa Batu Kramat, Kabupaten Boalemo, Gorontalo. Metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus digunakan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Temuan penelitian mengungkap bahwa penyebab putus sekolah tidak hanya disebabkan oleh faktor ekonomi, tetapi juga oleh faktor kultural yang kompleks. Tekanan dari orang tua untuk segera bekerja, persepsi kolektif yang meremehkan nilai pendidikan, dan ketiadaan sekolah menengah di desa menjadi penghambat utama. Meskipun banyak pemuda memiliki aspirasi untuk melanjutkan pendidikan, mimpi mereka terhambat oleh realitas sosial-ekonomi yang menekan. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa upaya penanggulangan memerlukan pendekatan multidimensi yang tidak hanya mengatasi keterbatasan ekonomi tetapi juga melakukan transformasi persepsi masyarakat tentang pentingnya pendidikan dalam memutus siklus kemiskinan.

This study analyzes the factors causing the high school dropout rate among youth in Batu Kramat Village, Boalemo Regency, Gorontalo. A qualitative method with a case study approach was employed through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The findings reveal that the causes of school dropout are not only economic but also complex cultural factors. Parental pressure to enter the workforce early, a collective perception that undervalues education, and the absence of a senior high school in the village are the main barriers. Although many youths possess aspirations to continue their education, their dreams are hindered by pressing socio-economic realities. The study concludes that mitigation efforts require a multidimensional approach that not only addresses economic constraints but also transforms community perceptions about the importance of education in breaking the cycle of poverty.
