Hermeneutics in Tafsir Al-Quran: Discourse Approach in Interpretation of the Qur'an

This paper wants to elaborate on the fundamental problems in studying hermeneutics with the problem of interpreting texts, both historical and religious texts. The method used is discourse analysis. The problems that will be tried to be solved are the problems surrounding the text about tradition on the one hand and to the author on the other. The most important of all is how not to disrupt the relationship between the interpreter and the text. This relationship between the interpreter and the text is a serious problem and is the starting point for hermeneutic philosophers. The effort to dynamize interpretation certainly still has hope. It can be done by conducting a critical analysis with a scalpel that has the power to trace the essence of interpretation and takwil, the history of its development, and the mapping of methods and various styles of interpretation. This critical analysis will lead the activists of interpretation to the condition and objective position of interpretation. This strategy is then followed by conducting an elaborative and comprehensive study of hermeneutics.

The Concept Of Dialogue Among Civilizations

Dialogue is “a communicative process in which people with different perspectives seek understanding.” To be in dialogue means that participants are not only engaging each other in light of their different views, but they are also striving to achieve a degree of mutual understanding. Based on the above definition, civilizational dialogue has been considered as a means to call people of different backgrounds, cultures, and civilizations toward mutual respect, humanity, and goodness and abstain them from discrimination, transgression, and evil deeds. But what exactly does the word ‘dialogue’ mean? What are the main types of dialogue? What is the process of dialogue? These questions will be answered in this paper using the descriptive method in other achieve a proper understanding of the concept. The research discovered that dialogue is a way for people with different perspectives to work together and to understand each other, and it plays a very significant role in a multicultural society to keep unity, struggling together toward a mutual objective.

The Phenomenon of Mutimualo Tradition in The Community in Gorontalo Regency: (a Living Hadith Study)

The study of Gorontalo religious phenomena which have been integrated with culture and are believed to be a legacy of tradition passed down from generation to generation since Islam was established in Gorontalo is the mutimualo tradition. This research aims to explore the phenomenon of the mutimualo tradition and understand the hadith which is brought to life as a tradition in the social life of the Gorontalo people. This type of research is qualitative descriptive analysis research using a living hadith approach which focuses on traditional practices that live in society, then links social phenomena with the hadith of the Prophet. This research shows that the mutimualo tradition is believed to be a syncretic teaching, a combination of the prophet's teachings with traditions passed down from generation to generation. The practice of mutimualo rituals is adapted to the context of the Gorontalo Regency community due to acculturation between tradition and the Islamic religion.
